DIPLOMA SYLLABUS
FLYING PHASE SYLLABUS
At Meritus College, cadets will experience a comprehensive pilot training program, ranging from basic to advanced flight training. Using HM Aerospace’s modern fleet, which includes Diamond DA 40 (single-engine) and DA 42 (twin-engine) aircraft, cadets will receive top-tier flight instruction. These aircraft are renowned for their safety, advanced avionics, and reliability, making them ideal for commercial pilot training.
Cadets will also gain hands-on experience using state-of-the-art flight simulators, designed to replicate real-world flight conditions. These simulators are essential for developing proficiency in instrument flying and operating in diverse weather conditions. Cadets will accumulate the required flight hours through both in-flight training and simulator sessions, leading to the issuance of a Commercial Pilot License (CPL) with Instrument Rating (IR). Additionally, cadets will complete the theoretical exams necessary for a frozen Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL), preparing them for future airline pilot careers.
The flight training program is based at the beautiful Langkawi International Airport, an ideal location for flight operations. Training flights will extend to various airports across Malaysia, including Penang International Airport, Alor Star Airport, Ipoh Airport, and Subang Airport. This diverse exposure provides cadets with valuable experience in different airspace and weather conditions, equipping them for the challenges of real-world aviation.
At Meritus College, cadets will be fully prepared to meet the industry standards for commercial pilots. With access to advanced aircraft, expert instructors, and comprehensive flight routes, cadets will be well on their way to earning their CPL, IR, and frozen ATPL, setting them up for a successful aviation career.
